Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine visited Pickaway County and Fayette County today to highlight the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library.
She read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to a classroom at Circleville’s Early Head Start Ohio Center, and met with Pickaway County’s Imagination Library affiliate, Pickaway County Library.
Later that morning, she visited Washington Court House to read to a preschool class. She also met with the county’s Imagination Library affiliate, United Way of Fayette County.
The Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library is a program that mails kids one book each month until their 5th birthday. All kids in Ohio are eligible and this program is available at no cost to families.
Caregivers can enroll any child under the age of 5 at OhioImaginationLibrary.org.
As of November 2021, 42% of eligible kids statewide are enrolled in the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library. More than 296,258 kids were mailed an age-appropriate book at no cost to their family!
