Welcome to the Office of the First Lady's Internship Page!
Thank you for your interest in our internship program. The Office of the First Lady Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the daily operations of the Governor’s office, as well as State Government as a whole.
The First Lady’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity through internships to gain valuable work experience and knowledge in various areas of state government leading to a potential career in public service. Student interns are also encouraged to seek academic credit for the internship experience with their college or university.
In addition to normal office duties, interns will attend weekly meetings, volunteer at special events, and fully participate in the Office of the First Lady. Internships are unpaid positions and participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and parking.
Interns will be selected based on their application and demonstrated interest in public service.
Applicants must be:
· At least 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship
· Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university, or graduated the previous semester
· A native Ohioan or attending an Ohio college or university.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Upon acceptance, candidates must consent to a security clearance prior to their start date and a random drug test. All security measures are confidential and intended to protect the applicant as well as the Office of the Governor and First Lady.
